  1. I ha no idea that November was national diabetes awareness month but this is something I do worry about having or worse having but not knowing I do so I do try but I know there’s a lot of room for improvement.

    By looking at the charts I can see that I need to cut back on or cut out fried foods, dairy products and processed carbs

  2. Hi there. I just finished reading your article about weight loss and diabetes and just had to drop you a quick comment to share my thoughts.

    I recently had a check up for diabetes and the results came back saying that I was borderline diabetic. I went away and did a little research on what I should do and what was best to eat.

    In the end I started out on a vegan diet for about a month. I found this quite difficult to stick to but have found a happy medium in cutting out all dairy products and only having meat once or twice per week.

    Not only has this reversed my diabetes, but I also feel fantastic as well.

I too tried the vegan diet but like you I found a happy medium by eating mostly plant-based meals with high protein snacks, meat no more than a few times per week

I am thinking that these diets might be a great way for him to get accustomed to eating less sugar, eating healthier, and loosing a few pounds to boot. Which diet do you think is the best of the ones you have listed? I am thinking the DASH diet, but I am not sure. Thank you!

      All these diets are good options for your son with borderline diabetes, I have tried them all and I am doing the best on the DASH diet. I am able to stick to this diet much better than any others I have tried, maybe your son and you will have to do like I did and start with one and see how it works for you? I recommend starting with the DASH diet, It is my favorite choice.

      I really don’t think what time of the day we eat certain foods is a problem, I think the main problems is what we are eating within each 24 hour day.
