Organic Produce

Organic produce is more expensive and most of us are not able to go completely organic, what I do is purchase what I am able too organic, and purchase the remainder in the non-organic food section. Organic foods are free of pesticides or contain much lower amounts than non-organic, pesticides are chemicals which do not mix well with our natural body chemistry. Pesticides are believed to be the cause of our autoimmune diseases, this does make sense since pesticides are used in larger amounts more now than ever. With our super insects immune systems stronger against pesticides farmers are also using stronger chemicals to protect their produce, these larger amounts are being digested by the consumer.

  1. I am on a huge kick to become healthier and started with the food that i eat. I like that you have what to supplement to get the vitamins you need. Some times i can be hard to get everything your body needs. If organic is hard to get in your area what would you recommend?

  2. I am very much into eating healthy and I do agree with everything you write.
There one thing though that I have difficult to accept and that is to avoid nightshades. This is not first time I hear about it, if I recall right they should be avoided because can cause inflammation in the body, is that so?

I live in Italy and here nightshades are eaten a lot. My father in low has a vegetable garden and he grows all the nightshades so were a eating them in great quantity. They do have arthritis in family and my father in law has also Parkinson’s disease but I can’t be not thinking of all the good things that are said about tomato (lycopene) and antioxidants in others. What’s your take on that?
    Thank you!

    1. Thank You

Nightshades when bought in the stores are harmful for many people with autoimmune disease, but when you grown them yourself in your own garden organically they are often not a problem. It is the pesticides which cause the problem for people, nightshades are heavily sprayed and have thin skins which absorbs the pesticides into the vegetable.
