What Is On My Mind Today?

One thing which eases your pain with this health problem is keeping your joints and muscles warm, my heating pad is my most effective method for relief. Often after I exercise, I will use my heating pad for about 20 minutes to relax my muscles and ease my pain, I even do this before bedtime during cold winter nights and also my heating blanket in the winter helps me to sleep so much better.

  1. Hi, thankyou for your article I found it really interesting. I must admit I’ve never heard of fibromyalgia before. I agree with you about eating as much fresh organic food as possible and trying to cut out the processed food. What about bread and wheat, can these effect you if you suffer from this condition? Cheers Joanne

    1. Thank You

Bread and wheat are gluten products which are triggers for people who have Fibromyalgia,

you must eat a gluten-free diet to avoid increase in your symptoms.

  2. Hey,
even in my professional life as a doctor it is not often one comes across dietary information and advice for people suffering from fibromyalgia! Certainly a subject that needs to be addressed, and glad that you took the time and made the effort to do so!
Informative page, would like a bit more background information on the disease. Other than that well done!

    1. Thank You,

Fibromyalgia is well known to me, I have lived with it my entire life not knowing why I had so many symptoms doctors could not tell me why. I do have a strong desire to help others with this and other autoimmune diseases, thank you for your high praises and as a doctor that means a great deal to me.

  3. Hi,

I am so glad I read this blog. Thank you for taking the time to write about it and doing the research.

My husband has fibromyalgia, and I have done research on it before, but never really found anything substantial. I do remember reading somewhere that some doctors believe it may be triggered by depression and I think that depression can go hand and hand with PTSD and stress.

I was not aware that diet, digestion, and allergies could play a role in it. My husband has issues in all of these areas, so maybe its something we need to address.

You mentioned peppermint and lavender oils, do you massage them into the areas of pain or use as an aromatherapy?

    1. Thank You

I am sorry your husband suffers with Fibromyalgia, I hope the information I shared in this article will help him to do better very soon.

Lavender oil and peppermint you use as an aromatherapy, it relaxes you and allows you to experience less pain.

      Jeff
