    Meditation used to be one of those woo-woo things that only the hippies did. But now meditation has become more mainstream. You can find cd’s, dvd’s, youtube videos, phone apps, books, just about anything to help you learn about meditation in its various forms and help you get in that mediative state. Meditation is now a key way to deal with stress and anxiety. Wayne Dyer is the “father of meditation” having written 40 books on the subject 21 of which are bestsellers. What’s great, is that he even has books for kids, which I think is fabulous, because I can’t believe how many kids these days are stressed out and completely overwhelmed and how great mediation would be for them, and how wonderful it would be to have his books available for them.

    Hello again Celia, Man i was shocked at Mr Dyers passing and had the fortunate luxury to sit down and listen to one of his guest appearancces on Hay House Radio a year or so ago. Many guru’s out there claim to be one thing or the other but Wayne was a good person and expressed his views of meditation clearly and easily to his audiences. I never personally read any of his books but always had it on my to do list. Which book would you recommend to start with ? thanks for the post!

    I have always wanted to try meditation in order to curb my daily stress and anxiety. However, I never knew how to properly do it, or where to start learning. These products will surely be great educational materials.

    Just a quick question though, do you think meditation can effectively be practiced in an urban setting like a busy city? I realised that there are plenty of distractions when you live in a bustling city.

      Many people who live in the city practice meditation without too much difficulty, many tell me they practice in the city park. You can always drive out of the city on the outskirts and practice meditation, you really should try the guided meditation there are so many I know you will find enough which work well for you.

    I am going throught a very stressful time in my life and have thought about trying meditation but do not know where to start. I don’t want to do a course as I just don’t have the time. Do you have nay tips that I can use to still my mind and relax? I find I cannot make my mind a blank. I have tried visualization but that hasn’t worked for me. Do you have any tips that could help?

      I was in the same situation not so long ago, what I did might work well for you also. I bought a low cost guided meditation compact disc, you can find them at most Walmart’s and Amazon for a very low cost. They guide you through the meditation process, at first your mind will keep wandering with thoughts but the more you do the guided meditation the stronger you mind will become.

    I am a beginner to Meditation hence there are many things that I would love to learn. I tried only a couple of days of meditation and I am already falling in love with it.

    I try to keep my meditation to 5 mins in the morning and 5 mins just before bedtime. These books by Mr Dyer seem very interesting and I might just get them to further enhance my meditation.

    Meditation has become a much bigger hot topic today in the health and wellness world than ever before. Recent research is showing how meditation actively makes changes in the brain, which manifests into healing.

    On that note, I wonder what exact methods he uses for meditation and spiritual growth. I notice that most meditators use Buddhism. As an Orthodox Jew, I use minor Kabbalistic intentions during my daily prayers, and I’m curious if he uses anything similar.

      Why don’t you google Dr Wayne Dyer and I am sure you will find the answer to your question, the books I have read of his does not actually support any specific meditation but you sound to know much more about this than I do.

    Love this page! Reading it and all the information you had about Wayne Dyer. I have some friends that may benefit from reading those books and Im personally interested in the childrens books for my daughter. The content is very thorough and this one page alone offers so much. I think you may want to add a bit of color so that it pulls people in to read the amazing content you have though.
