How To Overcome Anxiety Attacks

 

Believe me I know how awful anxiety attacks are for you, I started this website because I experienced severe anxiety all my life. My entire life I played it safe and never took risks which would cause me anxiety attacks, so if this sounds like you as well you are not alone. My whole purpose of this website is to help others learn to deal with their anxiety better, lets face it you will always have anxiety to some degree. I do have faith in YOU, I know if I could learn to live with all my issues you can too. First off, you must build up your confidence and get through some anxiety attacks. You need a plan, this is what I am going to help you with today.

What Is The Worse Which Can Happen

 

You have had these attacks before, so ask yourself what is the worse thing which ever happened from these attacks? Accepting we are going to have these attacks from time to time is our first step to overcoming them, our attacks even though they are awful and make us so uncomfortable we feel like we are going to die. We had have them often enough we know they will not harm us physically, oh they will give us physical symptoms which feels like we are going to die but we know these symptoms never actually harm us permanently.

You Must Be Patient

 

Our next step is a bugger to learn to do, when we start to get our symptoms we must hold our ground even though all our instincts tells us to get the heck out of here. Sometimes if we can stick out the situation for a while, our symptoms will actually start to calm down on their own. We must try to give it a little time before we actually do anything, what I do myself during this time is start deep breathing through the belly not your chest. This extra oxygen often helps calm down your symptoms, so this is the first coping skill you should try.

Talk To Yourself

 

I know people think your weird if you talk to yourself, but you need to be telling yourself I will get through this and I will be fine. Practicing  positive self talk will make this become natural for you after a while, in the past I was great at negative self talk. How I reversed my self talk to positive, every time I thought or told myself something negative I took it back and replaced it with something positive. This might sound foolish to you right now, but believe me it will work wonders for you during your attacks so it is well worth you spending the time working on this.

As A Last Resort

 

During your attack if these do not ease your symptoms and they become just too much for you to bare, as a last resort try moving around if possible. Often indoor situations make me much more anxious, sometimes even now I just have to take a walk. Just getting some space from the situation or your trigger can often ease your symptoms, then maybe you even can ease back into the situation leaving your symptoms and your attack some place else.

This article is to help you if you have an anxiety attack if your out in a situation which causes you an attack, most of us rarely has attacks when in a place  we feel safe like our homes. These are what I use when I have an anxiety attack myself even today, if you can calm yourself down your symptoms will ease up and even go away.   1. One of the worst feelings that I can think of, next to having feelings of a heart attack coming on, is experiencing a panic attack.

    It can hit you anywhere at anytime.The feeling of anxiety overwhelms you! It seems like it comes on stronger when you’re in a crowded place. It could even hit you while just standing at a crowded bus stop, on an el platform, a cafe or bar.

    Even in business, with the vast majority of eagar online marketers looking to generate an income from home and so much competition to compete with, this alone would send the average marketer into a panic attack.

    I first started marketing online, I would worry sometime about making it online to the point that it would break me out into a cold sweat. I would have this fear that I’m not doing something right.

    Thank God today there are different types of nutritional supplements that helps folks suffering with this condition.

      Anxiety effects pretty much everyone some time in their life, our diets are playing a huge part today in our increased anxiety. Even children are anxious today, anxiety can be our best friend or or worse enemy. Supplements are a must today to give us enough nutrients to be healthy physically and emotionally, yes our careers are a very big part of our anxiety triggers.

    There are so many challenges in life that most often than not gives us a panic attack such as bills, marital issues, health/medically related challenges, work-related or even in our personal endeavors.)

    Glad I found your site, you offer practical solutions on how to deal better with anxiety. We need to first acknowledge the attack and its limitations, hold our ground and start breathing, do some self-talk to boost our morale and if possible, move away or around.

  3. Hi Jeff, you have made some very good suggestions here on how to manage the attacks that sometimes will come about from nowhere in particular.
    I have been using these techniques for some time now and have finally got myself to a point that I don’t self-medicate myself with alcohol. For many years that was the only way I could calm myself enough to be able to function. I am now 3 years sober and doing much better with my life..
    Again, I think you have made some great points here to help others in dealing with this handicap.

  5. I dealt with very bad panic attacks from my bad experiences I had, I did not know how to deal with them, it got so bad that I would be taken away in a ambulence quite a few times. I learned to take deep breaths, and focus on something that is around me, my breathing someones voice. I grabbed that monster by the horns and said BACK BEAST but on a serious note, this is a big problem for a lot of people and a lot of people dismiss it as some time of cry for help, its not your body really does feel crazy!

      I am happy you grabbed your monster the the horns and put him in place, anxiety attacks are terrible to experience for everyone. We must accept them when they come and cope with them, deep breathing is the best method to try first.

      It is true once you have anxiety issues, you will never totally rid yourself of the demon. With supplements and diet changes, plus lifestyle changes you can control the demon instead of the demon controlling you.
