I remember using a pressure cooker with my family when I was younger as we would cook, then seal our fruits and vegetables before we stored them for the year.

My wife and I have never used a pressure cooker in the last three decades but I keep seeing them used on cooking shows and with some recipes online.

Thank you for sharing this as it’s making me more aware of the positive benefits of having one.

I thank you for reading my post and commenting, you might like the new pressure cookers they are less time consuming and much less noisy, but if the noise from your old pressure cooker makes you comfy stick with your old one

It is amazing all of the health benefits cooking with a pressure cooker can provide. My mother in law uses hers to cook almost everything she makes. I have yet to use one but it is on the bucket list to buy as many Paleo Recipes I find call for one.

I am glad you don’t have to worry about exploding food. We do have a pressure canner and it is so nuch better than having to constantly adjust the temperature on an old dial one

      Thank You,

I appreciate you sharing with my other readers and myself, you should purchase one of the newer pressure cookers which are the safest to use today. I like the digital type myself for their easy to use and see what temperature your pressure cooker is cooking at.
