  1. The issue of more processed foods is beyond our individual control. Unfortunately, big food industries are always cutting costs down which means artificial chemicals and flavors. The added sugar and sodium supposedly encourage buyers.

    TV, video games, and being on the computer are certainly addicting even to adults. Children are more vulnerable, being exposed to these things all the time. But I never knew that all the white bread, rice, and pasta were bleached and had their nutrients removed.

      The biggest problem with our food is the processed food is loaded with sugar, sodium and chemicals by the name of preservatives. These are not filling and actually are addicting, so we overeat and gain weight without enough physical activity this is a sure way to become severely overweight.


  2. Yep it’s definitely so important for kids to have a healthy diet in general, but to lose weight where any obesity is concerned it’s even more important, and your post really highlights this well.

    As you mention physical exercise combined with diet is the best combination to promote health at any age. I can’t imagine how any patent could read this and not immediately want to check their kids eating and workout schedule.

Have you heard of the bikes that a kid has to keep peddling in order to keep their game system/computer running? How you do think active video games like the WiiFit come into play?

      I highly am for any product which gets kids to become more active, I like the bike concepts maybe this will be something to get the kids pedaling faster and more often.
