Free Guided Meditation For Sleep-One Of The Biggest Problems For Most People Today Is Sleep

Sharing is caring!

Sleep Problems

The majority of people today’s biggest complaint is not enough energy, when asking them more on this problem almost everyone admits they do not sleep well. The average person is lucky to get 5-6 hours of sleep per night, this does not even account for the times they wake up during the night. Most of us struggle to fall asleep quickly, the main reason for the majority of people they have too much on their mind. Many people have the problem with getting their brain to shut down for the night, I struggled with this most of my life. Guided meditation for sleep has improved this problem for me, but I still have nights where my brain just does not wish to shut down. My sleep is much more manageable now than in the past, I highly recommend if you have sleep difficulties add guided meditation to your bedtime routine.

Why Guided Meditation

Why do I recommend guided meditation over traditional meditation, guided meditation is the easiest to learn since your following a guide. Much more beneficial for myself and most other people, with traditional meditation you are focusing on several things which is distracting. Guided meditation is much more relaxing for me, you just relax and listen to your guide which in my opinion takes much of the anxiety and stress off of you. Many people who decide to start meditation are experiencing anxiety and stress, also many people have concentration problems which this type of meditation takes less concentration than traditional. Traditional is very difficult to learn without have an experienced teacher and taking a class, guided your experienced teacher is right there for you and you do not even have to go to a class.

Benefits

Guided meditation most people start to experience the benefits much sooner than traditional when I first started traditional it made me more anxious and tense than guided meditation. To properly learn traditional I had to take a class, many people are not comfortable learning something brand new in a class. For me it made me more anxious so took much longer for me to learn, even today I practice guided much more than traditional. The only time I really use the traditional method is when I am out and about and starting to feel overwhelmed, this does calm me down and allows me to get through the situation. It is a good idea to learn both techniques, just for the reason I just shared when you are out it is more convenient to know the traditional technique. You could keep a guided resource in your vehicle for when you are out that would work as long as you are able to get to your vehicle. Often when in a public social event is when I become overwhelmed, running out to my vehicle is not always possible.

Emotional Benefits

Guided meditation has helped many people with a wide variety of health problems, I noticed more mental health improvement for myself. After doing even a short time period I notice more mental energy, I am much more alert and my concentration is so much improved. I even learn and remember more after using the guided technique when feeling fatigue and lacking comprehensive ability. very good study technique skill, whenever I need a short break I do some guided meditation.

Physical Benefits

Many people have experienced amazing health benefits from doing daily meditation, some of the benefits are hypertension and diabetes. Many people also experienced physical and mental well-being, much more positive attitude and happier. When you add yoga and meditation together, you have a total body power workout. I do yoga 2-3 times per week on average about 30 minutes, this seems to be just enough for me to feel less stressed and more relaxed with more energy physical and mental.

    Hi
I am really going to try guided meditation from now on after reading this post. I tend to feel bored once I keep doing some work for a really long period of time.I really do not understand why does that happen?
At the beginning I’m all pumped up and it feels really interesting but later on it starts to get really boring and I feel really lazy to do the same work I was initially excited about!
    Will guided meditation help?

    • admin says:

      Thank You Shrey,

I am happy you are willing to give guided meditation a try, it is normal as you become tired as your day goes on to feel less excitement and even boredom. Taking frequent breaks will help you to stay motivated and interested in your projects, doing guided meditation is a great way to spend your short breaks which will give you a fresh mind and motivated once again.

Try It you have nothing to lose,

I never heard of guided meditation. I have to look into it further. Another reason I find that people are not getting enough sleep is because of their diet. And also too much stimuli before they lay down for the night which takes them longer to go to sleep. Meditation can be helpful when you take away the distractions. What are your thoughts on that?

    • admin says:

      Thank You Loretta,

Give guided meditation a try, it is very easy to do and will give you many benefits. Yes I agree, we do involve ourselves in mental activity clear up to bedtime which keeps our brains functioning later at night.

I am definitely going to try the guided meditation. I have had problems with sleep for years. It’s because I have way too much on my mind. I end up waking up almost like clockwork at 3 am, and end up staying up for a couple of hours. When it’s time to get up I feel like I have not gotten any sleep. So, this just might be the answer. Thank you posting this article. It is very helpful!

  • Farhan says:

Sleeping was hard for me as well. It’s not just anxiety that is the problem. Sometimes I find it difficult to not over think any issues that has happened in my life, and I bring these thoughts into my sleep time.

My mind just seems to go berserk with thoughts of anything that I had come across on that day. Hard to quiet my mind before sleeping. I would like to try meditation soon, but I would also add that vigorous daily exercise will help you to sleep better as well.

    Great article as always!

    • admin says:

      Thank You Farhan,

I do hope you take the time to add meditation to your life, also yoga is very good to help you relax and sleep better. Combine the two and you have a total body tune up everyday.

    Hey,

    I agree with you.
Sleep is super important for our health and in our everyday lives we certainly need as much sleep as possible.
The meditation seems to really help as per your article.
    How exactly does it work?
Should it be done before going to bed or nevermind?

    • admin says:

      Thank You Asen,

I appreciate you reading my article on guided meditation, guided meditation works by helping you learn to slow your mind and body down and being able to relax more. Guided meditation can be used anytime when you are feeling anxious or just feel the need to slow your body down and relax. Before bed is a good time for many people to do with sleep difficulties, also consider yoga another good way to improve your sleep.

      Jeff
