Our Children’s Health

There are more and more children being born as time goes by with serious health problems, it is no coincidence there are more special needs children today than in our grandparents days. Our society today lives on processed foods full of chemicals, these chemicals are very likely the reason our children are suffering today. Do you really  believe our health problems are from anything else, think about it as our society has added more and more processed foods into our diet our health has declined? I for one don’t believe the majority of our children’s health problems are from their home life, I also don’t believe it is genetics unless we are passing chemicals to our children from our food? Many children who are born with emotional and behavioral disorders come from a very good home, isn’t it time the government and medical professionals stop putting the blame on the parents?

Our children are struggling to learn in school because they are experiencing extremely high anxiety, add their lack of concentration and their learning disabilities and our children are missing out on being the best they could be.

Ritalin & Dexedrine

I understand sometimes a child with these types of health problems might need medication, but I really feel medication should be a last resort. The medications they prescribe for these disorders have many side-effects, another things which really bothers me is these medications are very addictive. Ritalin and Dexedrine are the most common medications physician’s prescribe, medications have serious consequences when you begin taking them as a young child. These medications do over long-term can damage your organs, but this is up to the parents to decide if medication is what they want for their child?

Antidepressants

I really have a difficult time with young children taking antidepressants, I highly recommend you give changing your child’s diet a try first. Many children who have been cut back on processed foods and stimulants such as caffeine has experienced an improvement naturally, also consider getting rid of all the gluten in your child’s meals and snacks. Gluten is known to increase the majority of the symptoms children are experiencing with these disorders, a gluten-free diet has improved many children’s symptoms especially their concentration and depression as well as their anxiety.

Help For Parents

What Is On My Mind Today?

Why would anyone think that many children could be experiencing all these disorders from bad parenting, I just don’t believe bad parenting or violent home lives are so abundant to cause such an outbreak in our children’s health? The cause has to be something the majority of families are doing the same, there are many good families with several children and only one might have one of these disorders. I believe if you change your child’s diet by cutting back on processed foods and gluten, you will be amazed at the change in your child, soda pop is abused and one of the unhealthiest beverages on the market today.

  1. Hi!
Unfortunately, I agree with you, I also believe that what we eat affect seriously our health, therefore we try to cook the food using as much as possible organic vegetables from our small garden and markets. It is sad but I do not think that the government and medical professionals care about our health or our children’s health.

    1. Thank You Zoly,

I agree with your comment about the government and medical professionals, I believe both of these has been hiding this from us for a very long time. I hope more people begin to understand what these chemicals are able to do to our children, it is time we start changing the way we eat before it is too late for the future generations.

  2. Hey,
I really believe some of this emotional behavior in children are from processed foods over a long period of time. I never would of known this about ten years ago because I really did not care about what kids was eaten. Now I am more concerned about the future of all children and I think we should step up and take charge. Thanks for the post.

    1. Thank You Kendrick,

I thank you for visiting my website and leaving your personal comment, I can tell you are becoming a much more mature person since you care about the future of our children now.

      Take Care

  3. Thanks Jeff for the article and letting me know all the symptoms and the side effects. I could say nowadays we depend too much on medical and people didn’t aware of the side effects. To be very honest even myself I didn’t know. I consult the doctor and finished all the medical each of everytime the medical has been given.

As what you said, medication should be our last resort. And I hope more people are aware of this. Government and we as human must take action and self-awareness for a better future generation.

    1. Thank You Maxx

I have experienced the results of organ damage from taking prescription drugs for chronic inflammation, now I am off the drugs with organ damage but doing much better simply by adjusting my diet to less processed foods which was the cause of my chronic inflammation.

  4. Thanks for a very informative article. As a mother of 3 little ones I’m always looking out for anything out of the norm. However, I don’t agree 100% that our generation is so much worse than previous ones. Perhaps it is a little, I don’t know but I think our generation understands mental health much better than previous generations did. People used to suffer silently or were sent to extreme mental hospitals where they were shut out their whole life.

    1. Thank You Hollie

I do respect and appreciate your comment, it is a fact there are more special needs children born today than ever in the history of humankind. It is true people are more aware of mental health issues today, but the majority of people are using prescription drugs instead of trying the natural choice first. Prescription drugs will shorten a person’ life, sure they ease our symptoms for now but a healthy diet has been doing even more for children with special needs than prescription drugs A healthy low exposure to processed foods with chemicals has improved these children’s lives more dramatically then any drugs, often these drugs cause other health problems as well.

  5. Thanks for the article. I believe the issue at hand is due to multiple factors, in which, you mentioned a handful of them. Whether we could conclude that it is through diet alone or through family care etc. is difficult to determine. I hate to say this but the whole medical industry seems questionable, first we have newer and more extensive diagnositic tools or criteria to diagnose problems older generations never faced or had in the past. Then the pharma companies develop drugs that treat these newly discovered diseases and everything snowballs from there. I would prefer parents, medical professionals and all to look at the bare basics, start from the beginning with identifying the issues, too much TV time, cell phone time, food and diet, nutrition etc. try not to jump to conclusions with a DSM IV diagnosis etc.

    1. Thank You Merrell

I appreciate your comment and I do agree with you, physician’s are too willing to give people prescriptions before trying other treatment plans with less risks. Prescription meds might relieve your symptoms, but it is a fact over time these drugs can damage your organs and how do we really know if these drugs are mixing naturally with our own body chemistry and are safe to use?

How many drugs later are known to cause cancer and other severe health problems?

      Jeff
