    Hi Jeff,

My housing area is prone to Aedes mosquito, causing dengue fever. It is good to know that I can use natural ingredients to repel them. The chemical spray is a pain to use. I’ll need to cover my nose using it and I know, it is hazardous to my kids. Thanks for sharing the ingredients and methods.

This is a great article and so informative on insects to watch out for and a natural insect repellant. We seem to have mosquitos every summer and it seems I cannot walk outside without getting attacked. I hate using the regular chemical laden repellants so I am grateful you have posted a all natural recipe using essential oils. I have mixed a few oils together before to use such as the neem oil and eucalyptus with some witch hazel; however, I never really knew how many drops to use and what the ratio should be to the which hazel. Is the all natural insect spray kid friendly and is it ok to spray on your skin or should you just spray your clothing with it?

    • Jeff says:

      Hello Dena
I would never take the risk of using any essential oils without adding
a carrier oil, you might not experience any problems yourself but someone
      else could.
      Jeff
