This was such a great article as everyone from time to time needs relief from muscle pain. I am one of those people that takes the magnesium supplement daily and it has seemed to work out fairly well; however, I still seem to wake up with leg cramps in the middle of the night. I am really excited to try out the Best Muscle Pain Relief-Magnesium Lotion Recipe as it sounds like I can add that right after my shower before going to bed. Can you overdose on magnesium if I am taking an oral supplement and using the lotion recipe?

    • Jeff says:

      Hello Dena
Many people experience more effective relief from the magnesium natural products
over the supplements, but you can use both if you are still experiencing leg cramps
your body might not be absorbing enough of your magnesium supplement. Remember start
with a little of the magnesium lotion, I do recommend Magnesium oil over the supplement
since the magnesium will go absorb much quicker and effective.

These are some really great ideas for muscle pain relief. I use many of these items around the house and for other things already! Epsom salts I keep around for my garden and like you said foot soaks. I did not realize it had so much potential in soothing muscle pain as well. I think I will try it in that way as well and see how it goes. Your recipe for molasses muscle pain relief is something similar my Grandmother used. The ginger is great for inflammation, I use it daily for arthritis. I know the combination probably does not taste very good but I bet it has the potential for working! I always love your ideas. I am looking forward to trying these, including the oil combinations. I am all for natural!

    • Jeff says:

      Hello Christina

since the oil absorbs to your muscles much more effectively.

Lately, I have been having much muscle ache and pain. This is due to a frozen right shoulder. I am so glad I found your article, and it has helped me by offering plenty of solutions. I love essential oils, and am glad there are options there for relief.

Something I am curious though – I have diabetes. Are only epsom salts not good for people with diabetes? What about Magnesium Oil? Any essential oils not good for people with diabetes?

    • Jeff says:

      Hello Timotheus,
I am happy you found my website,
the only essential oil I know of
      which diabetics should avoid is
      Angelica. You really should consult
      your physician before taking any
essential oils with any types of health
      issues

    Hello Jeff,

What a great information you have provided here at your website! I suffer from muscle cramps now and then. Both of my parents as well, so I suppose it’s in my genes. Since some years I do add coconut oil to my daily diet. I was not aware that coconut oil also helps against muscle pain. By reflecting on that I believe it is really true because I don’t have as much muscle cramps since I started to eat coconut oil.

I appreciate you sharing these possibilities of how to treat muscle pain without using prescription medication. The best thing is to treat pain and diseases as naturally as possible.

some people with chronic muscle cramping often actually is suffering
from restless legs syndrome which adding more iron to your diet
      helps many people
