I must say that I really enjoyed your post as I am passianoate about aromatherapy! Stress and anxiety are becoming a huge problem in our society, and I guess that natural alternatives such as aromatherapy can help to deal with them. However we should remember that though we have this essential oils, anxiety remains first and foremost an internal issue that should be dealt on a psychological level. Don’t you think? thanks

      Thank You Angelce

Aromatherapy is not a cure for anxiety, like any alternative health remedy it only gives us some relief and helps us cope better. I feel anxiety supplements are a must, at least for me until I find the right anxiety supplement I could not cope using any of the alternative health methods.

Lots of useful information and links on here, thanks for that! I’ve been looking into Aromatherapy a lot lately, and this gave me a great overall view on the topic. When it comes to the methods of using oils and the products that you are able to use, which method/product would you recommend the most?

    • admin says:

      Thank You Matt

I am happy this article was interesting and helpful for you, I use the aromatherapy candles which are inexpensive and great as long as you do not have small children who may get knock them over accidentally. The most efficient of course are the diffusers, which also are the most expensive since you need the diffuser plus the oils.

I’m happy I found your site Jeff!

I sometimes get a bit of anxiety as we all do, I work in a gym and train a lot to help me relax and I’ve even started JuJitsu, although that is more for the competitive aspect as much as anything else. The point is I’ve never thought about aromatherapy or knew much about it as a way to help me relax and get more out of life so I’ll certainly be checking out your recommendations and coming back here to get some stuff after I do a bit more research.

    Cheers, Stephen

      Thank You Stephen

I also workout regularly as a way to burn off some of my anxiety, aromatherapy is so convenient to do while relaxing or doing anything at home. I really enjoy this therapy, I prefer the herbal scented candles but whatever you prefer go for it so easy to add to your lifestyle.

I’ve heard a lot about essential oils but I never knew there were some specifically for anxiety. I was diagnosed with GAD several years ago and was taking some powerful prescription drugs that I did not like how they made me feel. After stopping the drugs, I’ve used other natural methods such as cognitive thinking, herbal teas, and some other natural remedies that seem to help a little. They’re not as powerful as the drugs, but no side effects which is what I like about the natural approach. I think I’m going to have to check out the oils. Thanks a lot for sharing!

    • admin says:

      Thank You Michael

I also had bad experience with anxiety drugs, I use an anxiety supplement daily which seems to work pretty well for me. Then I also use the relaxation techniques. I use herbal scented candles myself since they are less expensive and they burn for such a long time.

Go natural its the only safe way

I am happy to hear you are an avid essential oil user, if people would use our natural remedies more less people would be on medications. I am happy you have a diffuser on the way to you, enjoy it so much
