How It Works

Guided meditation is available in many methods today, like anything classes are the best method but not the only method you can use.  There are many meditation resources available, the most preferred by the majority of people are in the compact disc form. The guide will ask you to get comfortable before starting the meditation, I prefer laying down and listening with my eyes closed but sitting up is fine if you can relax that way. Being an anxious person relaxing is very difficult for me, so laying down on my bed works best for me. The guide then will give you some visualizations to relax you and prepare you, just follow the guides steps the best of your ability. Starting out many people who are naturally anxious or stressed will have some difficulty possibly at first, like anything the more you do it the better you will get at it. I highly recommend you putting your best effort into guided meditation once you do master it you will feel like a whole new person.

Who Will This Benefit

You and everyone who takes the time to learn meditation will experience many benefits, It is kind of like reprogramming your mind to learn how to relax and let go of all those stressful thoughts your holding onto. I have always been a person who for hours every night had a brain which would not turn off, even when things in my life were going well my brain just did not wish to end the day. Meditation before bedtime has been a great blessing for me, my mind feels rested and clear in the morning now for the first time in my entire life. People with brain fog will find this something they wish they had learned about years ago, anyone who is sensitive to anxiety and stress really needs daily meditation. Helps with negative thoughts and depression as well, think of it as a total brain therapy program you can do at home.

Types Of Guided Meditation

What I love about guided meditation is there is a never ending variety of resources for all different types of purposes, guided meditation is more of a self-development technique than just a relaxation technique such as traditional meditation. Many resources for pretty much anything you wish to improve about yourself through guided meditation, here  are some I have used in the past.

Self Healing

Gratitude

Creativity

Health

Love

Peace

Pain

What Is On My Mind Today

I hope you have a better understanding what guided meditation is and how it works, even if your have tried traditional meditation without much success give this a try. This is a very powerful brain meditation which can do so much more for you than just help you relax, this can make dramatic changes in your life. You will not see or feel possibly any dramatic changes the first few times, but stick with it and you will experience positive life changes you will benefit from. The more high anxiety and stressed you are the longer it might take for you to feel the benefits, it took me a while since I was very severely anxious and stressed with some depression as well. I started to notice something happening after about one week of doing this daily, now I do it at least everyday and sometimes more depending on my levels of anxiety and stress. Once you master this technique, you will be a new person and a happier person with a much healthier brain.

I’ve been practising guided meditation for a while and it definitely helps me to relief anxiety and clear my mind. I prefer to use guided meditations instead of meditating myself because I concentrate and relax much easier.
I didn’t know there are so many types of guided meditation, dough. I might try something to help my creativity.

      Thank You,

I am happy you shared with us your experience with guided meditation, I do recommend guided meditation over traditional meditation as well. I find following the guidance on a cd to be much easier to relax and focus as well, this in my opinion is the meditation you should use especially as a beginner.

    Hi Jeff,

Thank you for this information. Didn’t realize there was different types of meditation. But the guided meditation sounds more relaxing for the brain. You mentioned stress and depression which I’m familiar with, I see this quite often within people I know. With all the anxiety we face from everyday life, this type of meditation would definitely be of great service to a lot of people. Appreciate this info.

Meditation…I have heard about it, been intrigued by it, but have not really understood it. After visiting your site, I am truly considering meditation for creative inspiration and personal improvement. I try every day to help others conquer their physical challenges and underlying emotional/mental barriers–primarily depression and fear of falling, but I can see now that mediation might give me personal clarity and happiness with a creative flare. Thank you for sharing and opening the door to a possible new adventure for me.

Hi there. I did not know that there are many types of meditation. I come from the culture where meditation is very popular but I have not practice it much. I have tried yoga for sometimes. I think this will greatly benefit anxious people. And this is a good way to do it rather than using drugs. Thanks for sharing!

    • admin says:

      Thank You Kien

I appreciate your reading and commenting, I am amazed how many people in cultures where meditation is very well known has little experience with it. Start with guided meditation if you ever wish to try it, keep with the yoga it is good for so many things

Your site is very informative. I have always been a fan of meditation but was under the impression that meditation was supposed to last around 15 minutes. I will definitely have to check your site periodically to research more on this type of meditation.

I also love the flow of your words. Thank you!

      Thank You Daybe,

You will find even 5 minutes several times per day will give you some benefits, it is best to begin with shorter periods and work up to meditating for longer periods. Many people can not start out meditating very long, it is even frustrating for some people first starting out not use to being still this long.

Guided meditation is a great approach to anxiety management. I appreciate the links to the free downloads. This will be great to have available after a long, frustrating day at work. Everyone can benefit from guided meditation, it just takes a little time to get used to. Eventually, you’ll find that it’s an important part of your relaxation routine. Thanks for the info.

      Thank You,

Guided meditation is really very simple to add to your life, while relaxing in the evening before bedtime listen to a guided meditation resource and in no time you will begin to feel the benefits. Making this a daily routine, it will improve your sleep and life.
